South Mountain Long Life Chop & Ink Pot

This set includes one soapstone carved chop and red ink paste in a traditional box. The chop is a traditional way to sign a Chinese painting  The red ink paste is a permanent and lightfast ink that will ensure the identification of this South Mountain Long Life mark.

The ink paste is made primarily of Airong Fiber from the Chinese plant Aicao. This fiber is ground and mixed with oil and red ink to create the ink paste.
