This necklace was presented to us as turquoise, however, it is not real turquoise.  It is made of a stone called Howlite which is white and is then dyed to look like turquoise.  Notice between the beads that the color of the bead is really white.

This necklace nonetheless is still a great bargain and is a beautiful piece! There’s no harm or shame in wearing whatever jewelry helps you express yourself.  Enjoy wearing it!!
